We finished up in Korea yesterday afternoon and flew to Shanghai. From here it's going to be kind of a whirlwind of travel. This morning we are catching a train to Changzhou. We will be there for two nights before traveling to Suzhou. One night there, then we fly out of Shanghai to Shenzhen. We'll be going all over the place there before staying our final night in Hong Kong and flying home.
The trip hasn't been too bad thus far. Work-wise, I've been kind of a spectator. Steve does all the presentations, and our rep(s) does the translating and business talk. I help set things up and chime in when possible. It's been really dull. There hasn't been much point to me being here, but it also hasn't been annoying.
Steve and I have been getting along fine. We shared a room in Korea, but with cheaper room prices in China he has decided that we can get our own. Thank God! I just need some space after a while, I start to crave having some alone time. I have always needed that, and if I'm constantly around people for too long I start to get rather irritable.
I've been sleeping okay, but it always takes me a while to adjust to the beds over here. They are as hard as a rock, and so are the pillows. I keep waking up with a slight headache from it. My hotel rooms thus far have also been really hot. I set the temperature controls quite low, but the ventilation system just isn't very good, so I often wake up sweating. This morning I was up and about around 5AM. I should be okay until this afternoon, then I'm afraid I'll deal with a crash.
Almost time for breakfast. I'd better attend to some emails before I have to go.
