other big event of the week?
I officially have an apartment. for real, this time. Katelyn and I signed the lease on Tuesday. it's a pretty nice place. close to campus, near Dustin and Ryan, pretty cheap. almost $200 a month less than the other apartment I signed a lease for. it's a 2 bedroom/2 bath with full kitchen and washer and dryer. they're only 3 years old, so everything is really clean and new. the bedrooms are great-they're basically made for 2 people. the closets are in the middle of the room, so each person has their own space. sounds weird, but they're really great. bathrooms are big, too. I'm determined to keep our tub clean so I can take baths. :)
so far, we have my dining room table and chairs (possibly a few other odds and ends if they can fit.....the living/dining room is pretty small), and Rachel (one of my two other roommates) has a family friend who's going to see us his sofa, entertainment center, coffee table and a lamp for $100. that's $25 a person! and I'm sure it won't be difficult to find a bed, desk and dresser at the end of the year. there should be a lot on the classifieds.
I'm really excited about this. ooooh, I can't wait to have a kitchen!!! Jon and I went to Pathmark the other day and I was thinking of all the great stuff I could buy, the good food I could make. mmmmmmmmmm.
my parents come down tonite! I can't wait to see them. :)
Disney, an apartment, good friends, a fun job, a good therapist, feeling better about life in general.....this winter session has in fact turned out to be EXACTLY what I needed. :)
