He knows he shouldn't be here, especially without his brother, but Avery finds that he couldn't resist, that the strange basement hidden beneath the funny hotel was almost calling for him.

So yes, he's managed to sneak back in, tucking the key card that he borrowed into his sock before he goes exploring, although being sure to stick close to places that he could hide if needed.

But it seems something has struck his interest and even though he thinks it may be a very, very bad idea, he decides to risk it all the same. After all, what's life without a few risks here and there?

He approaches the couch from behind, moving as quietly as he can until he's right behind her and peering over Ariel's shoulder, trying to get a look at both her and the documents and the angel herself.

Sorry Ariel, no one ever bothered to explain personal space to the boy.

Ariel doesn't even get that strange feeling that she is being watched for a few minutes, and when she does, she turns to look behind her and raises her eyebrows.

No, nothing really surprises her anymore.

"What're you lookin' at kid?"

"A lady," he states simply. "Who's lookin' at papers n' stuff." He smiles a little nervously.

"What're you lookin' at?"

"Hotel papers... 'n stuff." Ariel smiles right back at him and stacks the papers together, setting them aside. "Nothin' too serious. And nothin' too interesting either."

She tilts her head.

"What's your name, honey?"

"Dorian," he replies without a second thought. He doesn't give his name out to strangers, especially strangers who felt like her and seemed so comfortable here.

He leans in a little further, this time to peer at the papers she had discarded. He doesn't know what he's looking for in the but he can't help it, his curiosity will always override anything else, it just was how it always worked.

"You got somethin' funny here," he mutters to her. "Makes your skin tingle and your stomach flip n' flip n' flip." He's referring to the Rift, of course, except he simply doesn't know it. All he knows is that it bothers him, it bothers him even more than the angels do and that's saying something.

"I'm Ariel, Dorian. It's a pleasure to meet you."

She raises her eyebrows at what he says and just shakes her head, thoroughly confused. It certainly isn't the first time since she's come down here either.

"What're you talkin' about?"

"Areal," he repeads, nodding. "S'a pretty name."

He bites at his lower lip, a little unsure of how to go about explaining himself. Usually the only one he talked about the funny feelings he got here was Zackary and since Zackary would get them too, it didn't really require too much explaining.

"S'just weird," he starts, his words almost cautious. "Lo'sa people getin' pushed 'n' pulled 'n' all different places 'n' there's this thing that's doin' it. I can feel it 'n' hear it n' kinda taste it. Makes the hairs on the back of m'neck go up and makes me sick sometimes. S'why I don't come here lots. S'in other places too but here's where it's worst."

He doesn't bother mentioning all the angels about, since he figured she knew that much already. Really, she probably knew everything that was going on, she just seemed like that kind of a lady.
