Tosh is walking home after a long day at work. She's actually going to sleep in her own bed tonight and planning to enjoy it. It's been too long since she had a chance to get a full nights sleep. She's checking her hand held, glancing up only to make sure she didn't trip or run into anyone. It's late evening and there isn't anyone else on the

Until recently, there was one in Chicago, her visor informs her. From what it can tell, this one is not quite the same. Either a different universe or just a bit older, younger, who knows. Either way, it's not the same Tosh returned from the dead.
Tosh is one of the few that went in the quake that she misses. They had something, together, something -- she doesn't quite know how to put it. It was a relationship of sorts, a good, professional relationship that had a deep bond.
So Tosh is stopped by Sailor Mercury herself, costume and all. She holds up one hand in the name of justice and says, "Sato-san, it is imperative that you come with me."

"How do you know my name?" Tosh asked a bit taken aback. She put a hand to her waist and feels for her gun. Since working with Torchwood she'd started carrying one, although the idea of scooting a Sailor Scout was almost amusing enough to make her laugh.

It's not the entire truth. It leaves out the part where she knew Tosh before. How she worked with her, here in Chicago. But considering this Tosh is slightly different, there's no way for her to explain that without sounding entirely insane. They'll get to that part later. At least Torchwood employees are familiar with Rifts.
"Either way, it is probably best that you make your way with me to the Kashtta," she adds. "It is a better place for us to talk than here."

"Yes, some things can't be said in the street, but the moment we get to Kashtta, I would like some answers," Tosh tells her and realizes she'd ready to fallow wherever. It's not like she has any other choice. She doesn't even know if her money is any good here and she doesn't have any identification.

She could do a deeper scan, find out Tosh's age and run that against her birth date, but somehow she feels that's an invasion of privacy. She motions to the side, stepping that way and walks towards the Kashtta. It's not that long of a walk; she doesn't usually get too far, just in case.
"Although, I will not lie, it is a pleasure to see you, Sato-san," she says. "As the current technical analyst for Torchwood Chicago, I found it rather lonely with companies."
Reply
"February the twelfth," she says then ads the year as she realizes it might be important, "Two thousand and eight."
She didn't know how to take that comment. She is the technical analyst? There is Torchwood Chicago?
"If I can be of any assistance, I will be. Perhaps together we can find a way for me to get home."
Reply
"And perhaps," she agrees, although her tone is soft. It's hard not to read the girl's emotions. She's given up hope on going home, even if she hasn't given up looking for her Princess. "I have had some interesting ideas on reversing rift activity, but unfortunately, none of them have been fruitful. And I am most certainly not alone in this project."

"Perhaps together we could find something that works," she says still not sure about anything. It all seems so impossible yet a theory she'd worked. She wants to see this new place and get to work on some sort of technology. She'd feel safer once she was back in her natural environment or at least that's what she keeps telling herself.

Projects, they can give her. A life again. A place in Torchwood. She assumes, at least. She can't think of a reason that Jack wouldn't want Tosh back, but there's so little she knows about this Jack Harkness.
"Either way, it will at least be possible to get you a room, a bed for the night, so that you can be comfortable."
