What if my promise has already faded?

((OOC: It's been a month since I made a post... which is apparently too long for me.))

Elizabeth Jules has been sitting on stairs leading into some abandoned building or another. She finished helping someone die an hour ago, and she's been here ever since. She hates being alone for this long but she hasn't been able to stand and leave yet. All of everything slams down on her when she's alone. She starts to think too much.

There's Josef's relative in the city. She's started looking at any male stranger suspiciously at least at first (though that never lasts long). She refuses to be turned into something that can hurt Josef. Refuses. It's not the only thing weighing on her heart as she presses her bracelet between her gloved fingers before she slips it around her wrist again. It's all of it. How many people are dying because the man she loves is free? Why can she never find it in her heart to regret loving him? She doesn't even want to stop anymore.

It's definitely time to get the holy blue fishsticks outta here and with someone- anyone at this point. She stands up, steps down the stairs, and promptly slips on a large patch of ice and on to her butt. Hard. Well, there's a distraction.

Martha Jones is in the restaurant of the Conrad making last minute wedding preparations though it's all been settled at this point. She's nursing an Irish Coffee. Yes, it's only the afternoon but when the Master is in town it's never too early to drink.

Robin Rice has acquired a penguin from Vincent. He's leaving the Conrad with the penguin in his arms as there is no cage for it yet. It's wiggling about quite a bit. This will be a fun trip to the zoo. Best to take a cab.

John Casey is in the park, and he's almost killed this monster that seems to consist of a hundred or so eye balls... and some tentacles and that's all. Surprisingly only one eye is a weak spot, the rest are not actually eyes though they move like the real eye, and he aims his gun at the thing. He really hates Chicago.

Danny Smalls is not happy and not feeling like an ass for the first time in a long time. He walks down the sidewalk toward the Conrad at sunrise. He's covered in blood which is not surprising. Some of it his own, some of it a rabid werewolf's (of the non Chicago variety), some of it a little girl's. He chucked his sword over the pier. It failed him or he failed it or somethin. Either way, he doesn't want to see it again.

JD is on his knees on a street somewhere, smelling intensely like lemon oil aka the smell of Wayne Manor. He's exhausted his powers. His head is killing him, and he can't get Nate to come back. But that's cause Nate's waiting at the Tower for him. He didn't disappear into thin air... he walked away when JD wasn't looking and went back. He walked away. He said goodbye and JD forgot. That's all. It's nothing else. It's- Nate's fine. Fine. Fine. Fine.
