If you take a life, do you know what you give? Odds are you won't like what it is.

Desmond Descant has gotten over the whole fiasco in the park with Calisto and that kid as much as he's going to get over it. (Because it's hard to get over losing yourself so completely that you'd almost be willing to kill a kid just to kill the demon bitch using him for a human shield.) Which means to say that he's no longer brooding about it and he's pretty much back to normal, although he still hasn't been around all that much- mostly in his room, trying to figure out some course of action that might be taken to ensure Calisto is taken down and soon (except he's not very good at that sort of thing- Des doesn't plan attacks, he just... Attacks) and venturing out every now and then to take out his aggression and frustration on a punching bag or two.

Now, however, he's in the common room, laying across the armrests of a chair and seeming very interested in the ceiling tiles. He's sure there are a number of things he ought to be doing about now, but that would require him to move, and he doesn't really feel like moving right now.

It needs to be noted that Des has absolutely no unearthly clue about the newest arrival in the basement at this very moment, which is probably a good thing.
