And the skin you call your home holds a heart that quits

((OOC: Sorry for all the new posts this one is necessary though. -_-))

Robin Rice has finally made it back to the hotel. It took longer than he anticipated but his brain isn't exactly functioning at its peak at the moment. He has a large bottle of pills to take two times a day. They make it difficult to care about much though he can still manage a ( Read more... )

Francis does not like drugs.

Wait. Scratch that. Francis does like his alcohol. But anything else? Not his cup of tea at all. And when he's just walking down the street, through the rubble, and then it suddenly all disappears, he has to wonder who put what in his food and when so he can make sure that they don't have the ability to do it again.

So he stands there for a moment, staring blankly at the seemingly perfect buildings around him.

"What. The. Fuck."

It is human nature to stop and stare at something that another human is stopping and staring at especially when they have such an odd expression. JD stops his walking and stares at the building though it seems perfectly find to him. Maybe he's missing something. Maybe it's like one of those picture puzzles where a person has to look at it just the right way and pull back slowly and on and on.

"Uh...."

He tilts his head the opposite way.

"What is it?"

Francis did not expect someone to stop and question his questioning. He's used to people just going on their merry way even when the town is falling to shit.

What else should they expect when they let demons run free in the town? Of course it's always falling to shit. Not that the plagues were their fault. Although... divine retribution.

He waves at the building in front of him, looking a little annoyed. "That building. Was rubble. Like. Thirty seconds ago."

JD looks at Francis like he's crazy.

"Uh... I don't know what you're smoking, dude, but it totally wasn't." He looks at the building again. His abilities have been used so much that even an illusion this large only takes a tiny portion of his concentration. "Why would it be rubble anyway? That doesn't make any sense."

"Because the biblical plagues just fell through the rift and there was fire and hail falling from the sky which pretty much ruined a good portion of downtown and then people thought the world was ending so there was a lot of acts of vandalism, theft, and terror?" Francis tried. It was worth a try at least. But he's not exactly sure how JD hasn't noticed any of this. Obviously he's the crazy one. "You seriously didn't notice the fact that thousands of people just died and the whole town is going crazy and like half of the population disappeared and then reappeared? ...have you read anything in your journal lately?"

Francis is currently imagining shooting JD right now. He does not like drugs. He doesn't like feeling like he's been drugged. And if JD is the one causing this, he needs to stop. Right. Now.

JD stares at him like he's crazy, again.

"I've been reading my journals and living here for like two years, and nothing bad's ever happened so I don't know what you're talking about. Well. There was that time with the hostage shooting in the coffee shop, but it could have been worse. And nobody died so," he says, taking a few steps away from Francis.

It's best to get distance from the crazy person.

"If the biblical plagues happened, why would my boyfriend go to Jamaica in the middle of them? That makes no sense. Also, as you can see... everything is happy and good. So I don't know. Maybe you were mistaken."
