never again is what you swore the time before

Jo has been avoiding Robin. Less time in the Conrad, more time on the streets. She's keeping more secrets, so many secrets. All she can hope is that Robin hasn't heard. As much as things go unnoticed in Chicago, those kinds of murders get press. She's been avoiding the news as well. Lately, there's not much she hasn't been avoiding. Just press her way on. She doesn't want Robin to know what's going on. She would hate herself so much if he put the pieces together. And if she doesn't see him, she doesn't have to know if he knows. And if she doesn't, she can pretend.

But when you're hungry, and you know where there is free food, it's hard to stay away.

She hasn't worked since the incident and she hasn't eaten a proper meal in days. She's managed to pull together scraps here and there, but nothing substantial. And when you're that hungry, it's hard to ignore it. So she's in the Conrad kitchen, zoning out in front of the fridge. Yes, she's starving. But even in this moment, it's so hard for her to focus.

Peyton on the other hand, is sitting in the coffee shop. She has a very carefully folded newspaper in front of her that she's apparently been reading for an hour. She's not sure if her contact is going to show or not. She has a cup of tea that she's sipping slowly, and while it looks like she's focusing on the newspaper, she's actually watching the people around her. She needs to make sure the drop goes over successfully.

Interference would make that incredibly difficult.

Tabitha is in the cafeteria of Looney High, picking at what looks like pasta with meat sauce in a tupperware. She's got a book in one hand and a fork lazily in the other. She's vaguely listening to a conversation between two of her friends and another at the table behind her. The focus on the actual book is minimal. She has her hair up in pink bows today. There's a lot of pink involved, actually. A pink a-line skirt, ballet flats, white tights, and a white blouse. It brings color to her face. She looks moderately healthy, even without the trick of the clothes.

Kittentits is looking a right mess. She's outside one of the homeless shelters downtown. She really wishes she knew where home was. She's so tired of having nowhere real to sleep. Actually, she's tired of almost everything.

Luckily, she's also angry enough that she's not about to give up. She's also hungry; it's hard for her to force herself to eat when Romeo isn't there. Everything is easier when Romeo is there. Maybe if she begs--

No. She shouldn't do that to him.

Matoi is bugging the Kashtta.

Well, not annoying it.

Although, she's probably doing that too.

Francis is picking up his dry-cleaning. He likes this dry-cleaners because they don't ask too many questions. (This may have more to do with limited English skills than discretion, but either way, it doesn't matter.) And they're really good at getting blood-stains out, most of the time. The moment he picks up his dry-cleaning and steps outside, it starts raining.

This on and off rain is driving him nuts.

Mostly because he forgot his umbrella. So currently, he's standing, clutching his dry-cleaning close to him, and trying not to get wet under the awning until it clears up enough for him to dash over to Shane.

Kat on the other hand, is enjoying the rain. She just got off work and now she's standing on the sidewalk, soaked to the bone. This was probably not the day to be wearing a white shirt (especially one that says 'Chemists do it better') but she really doesn't care right now. The rain feels good, cool on her skin. She's holding her shoes in one hand, her head leaned back. It's not like she wasn't going to get wet on her way home anyway.
