They say you can catch it, but sometimes you're born with it

Luke Roberts is pacing in the lobby of the Kashtta Tower. He has to respond to Arlin, but he doesn't know what to say to him yet. Luke believes him. Arlin seems sincere, and Luke really wants to get out. He doesn't want to have to be a bother to Torchwood or to put any of these people into danger. A hail of bullets and lion is what Gene said... before they could get to him. But they would get to him eventually if only to kill him for what he knows. And who else would get caught up in that? How many more people should get hurt, because he thought he needed sex like most people need food?

Luke doesn't know if he can just leave, and he doesn't know who he would take with him, because he'd have to take someone in case it's a trap. Arlin could be followed to the location that Luke picks, and then they all would end up killed. He doesn't want to go alone either, because travel seems dangerous and- He's not used to having to make decisions like this. It's not going well for him.

JD is, also, in the tower. He's trying to make a mixed drink for his boyfriend. It's going to be a surprise. If he can stop messing it up and cursing over it, he's running out of alcohol. The instructions on the internet aren't nearly as easy as they make it seem. He flails in the general direction of the vodka, "WORK WITH ME, please!" Whining at inanimate objects always works.

[this is backdated a bit] Robin Rice has finally returned officially to the Conrad Hotel. He came back earlier with Vincent, and then left after a shower in an empty hotel room upstairs. The drugs were necessary to get. The withdrawal and his nights in jail had made him tense and more irritable than before. He's still in his clothes from the night he was arrested when he steps out of the elevator, wanders into the cafeteria, and then collapses in a seat on his way to the kitchen to make coffee.

So he may have used one of those needles while sitting in Wyatt's office. It was a new formula. Wyatt wanted to test his reaction to it, and then he woke up, felt good enough to leave, and now it's... hitting him, again. At least he's no longer irritable. It's even edging into nothing territory, which is nice.

Elizabeth Jules is walking a Great Dane named Spot through Grant park. It's more like the Great Dane is walking her despite the fact that she is an angel and should be much stronger than it. "What are you? A supernatural puppy," she asks in exasperation. It's... actually not entirely impossible.

Martha Jones is in the Coffee Shop drinking coffee. Shock. It's actually a mocha cappuccino, but it has the chocolate and caffeine that she'd been craving. She may be brooding a bit, which is unlike her, but current topics running through her mind make the brooding inevitable.

Jamal Malik is singing on a street corner with a hat by his feet. You want to give him money, don't you? Yes? He would like to take your money, but he'll be awfully cute while he does it!
