Never asked for a helping hand, no one would understand --

If you had asked James Potter a week ago where Chicago was, he would have given you a very odd look, shrugged, and gone on with his life. Though he doesn't know it, he is about to become intimately acquainted with Chicago -- specifically, with Grant Park. He's in a wooded area which, at first glance, doesn't seem too different from the wooded area he was just in. There is one thing, though. The sun's out, whereas in England it wasn't. This is enough to make him suspicious -- he's learned well from Alastor Moody this past year and a half, taking note of any threat against himself and his friends. He would do anything to protect those he's close to. This is why, in his hours that aren't devoted to training, he's been hunting for his fiancee and his best friend practically nonstop. Even when the rest of them gave up, James never did. What can we say? Lions are stubborn.

This could be an explanation for the suspicious look he's got on his face -- his slightly too-thin frame, scruffy clothes, the way he's holding his wand at the ready. There are a few passers-by giving him odd looks, but he's got more important things to pay attention to than the objections of some silly Muggles. Like where he is, for instance. Please, someone, enlighten him.
