Elle makes her way into Twice Sold Tales, looking around the place curiously. Used book stores were one of many things she’s never been exposed to. Growing up practically locked away from the world certainly did deprive her of a few things in life. But she figures she should probably pick up a book or two on nursing with the little money she does

It's coincidence really that he happens to walk by the clinic when Elliot is standing outside of it.
He stops and blinks at her, and then thinks he's seeing things. It wouldn't be the first time, but then she doesn't go away. JD's mouth drops open. He has been here so long. Over a year. He didn't think that after all this time someone from his world could actually follow him through.
"Elliot?! Oh my God! Elliot? Is that really you o- or am I going crazy? Or are you someone that looks just like her, but not her?" Yeah, he's going to ramble a bit.

"J.D." She exclaims happily, hugging him tightly. "It's really mean, I mean I think it is anyways," She rambles a little. "Though I thought maybe I was imagining things and going crazy too, actually, part of me is still a little afraid of that, but everything seems real, even the really strange, bizzare stuff, so I guess I must not be going crazy after all."

He clings to her like if he lets her go she'll disappear, again. JD is having the best time of everything since coming through the Rift. He has a boyfriend! He has an Elliot! What more could he need?
"Oh my God. When did you get here? I didn't think I'd ever see you, again!"
Reply
"I had no idea you were here J.D.! If I had, I would have tried to find you sooner."

JD is grinning as he finally convinces himself that if he pulls away from her she won't disappear. He pulls back bouncing back on his heels with that huge grin.
"Hey, it's okay! I've been here a year, but not everybody knows me and knows my people so! You had no way of knowing! And I found you now so hey, you want to get drinks or something? So we can catch up? And you should totally move in with me in the creepy Tower." Yes, with him and his boyfriend. Ahem. "There are plenty of rooms there! Not that I know if I'm allowed to just bring people over or anything as its creepy with the ghosts and all official spy stuff with the Torchwood, but."

"Drinks sound great!" She replies cheerfully. She could come back and check out getting a job later, she figures. She blinks a little in surprise at his invitation. "Creepy tower? Why would you want to live in some place with ghosts and spies and god knows what else," There was her anxiety kicking in a little. "That sounds totally unsafe, J.D."

He smiles, and then takes Elliot's arm in his own and leads her away from the clinic. "Well. I haven't seen any ghosts or anything! I keep looking out for them, but they must not like me cause they never want to say hi. I should try having a seance some time."
JD tilts his head to the side getting into that oh so familiar, thoughtful day dream-y state.
"We'd need a whole lot of marshmallows," JD mutters, and then focuses his attention back on the situation. He smiles awkwardly. So Elliot has the gay brother and all, but it's hard to come out to a former girlfriend. "My- I'm in a relationship. Recently. I moved in with them. And they live there so I moved in to live with them!"

She smiles a little awkwardly back as he tells her about his relationship. It always seems a little tense when either one of them was dating someone else, considering their history.
"It must be serious for the two of you to be living together, I'm really happy for you J.D." And for the most part, she was. They had always been a disaster. "But I probably shouldn't move in with the two of you, I mean, how awkward would that be? I'm pretty sure your girlfriend wouldn't be crazy about the idea either."
Reply
"Uhm. It's- I don't have a girlfriend. Exactly." JD makes a thoughtful face, and then just blurts words out of his mouth as he's accustomed to doing. "I'm- There's this guardian angel. He's my friend, and he's hot. Uh. And he's really awesome and I love- like him a lot. He's my boyfriend."
He clears his throat before she can start rambling at him or whatever her reaction might be. He's not looking at her at the moment. "And besides they have other rooms at the Tower so you wouldn't be in our room, but near by so you know! Still the Conrad's less with the creepy and no spies so. And Martha Jones is nice. She owns the place. I've known her since I came through!"

She doesn't mean to look so surprised, but it's a bit of a shock, finding out your ex boyfriend is dating another man. Not even just a man, but an angel, at that. Not that she has any problems with people being gay. Her brother Barry was gay, even if he wouldn't come out to the family. And she had made out with a girl back in a college, but she still blames the Lemon Drops she drank that night for that.
But that's hardly the point.
Right now, she realizes she needs to just say something.
"I'm really happy for you J.D., I mean, I always thought you'd be perfect for my brother Barry if you swung that way, but I always thought you didn't. But I guess I wrong," She's rambling now, as she normally does, especially when she's nervous, hitting that fast rate that's hard to understand. "Not that it matters. I mean, you're allowed to sleep with whoever you want, male, female, whatever."

He had sex with one before he would admit it.
"So! Drinks! We can have lots of drinks! Appletinis a-hoy! And you have to tell me who all you've met since you've been here! Maybe I know one of them!"
Reply
Still, she has to admit she's a little relieved once he changes the subject. "Drinks are definitely a good idea," She hasn't really had a chance to relax since she's gotten here. "I've only really met a couple of people so far, they helped me out when I first came through the Rift."
