All Rare and Resolved To Drop
Elle makes her way into Twice Sold Tales, looking around the place curiously. Used book stores were one of many things she’s never been exposed to. Growing up practically locked away from the world certainly did deprive her of a few things in life. But she figures she should probably pick up a book or two on nursing with the little money she does have. Peter hasn’t gotten back to her about the job yet, but she figures it’ll be a little different than her duties watching over the “patients” at Primatech had been.
She makes her way down one of the isles, not even sure where to start.
Elsewhere in Chicago, Elliot was taking a deep breath as she stands outside Seraclinic. She’s trying to keep calm because the last thing she wants to do is start disappearing when looking for a job. That would be bad. But she figures a medical clinic is her best bet for work, as she is a doctor, after all.
Part of her still can’t believe she’s been sucked into this…alternate Chicago. She hasn’t tried going back since showing up in the Rift Room though. She’s been too scared after the warning she got. She did kind of like living and all that.
So she has no choice but try to adapt to life here the best she could with as little freak outs and body parts disappearing as possible.
Easier said than done.
