Raziel has been spending more time in the lake these days...
He's just pulling himself out as Eilir approaches, leaping up onto dry land with a not-entirely-human grace. He stands and brushes some of the water off himself with inelegant claws, then registers the person quite clearly on the prowl and turns to face her.
"I certainly hope you're here for the good of this City and not its detriment," he says - which, no lips to be read, no fingers to sign with, and certainly no projective psychic ability, this should be interesting. "Although if you do mean to harm the citizens, I am beginning to wonder if I should feed."
Eilir's seen nothing but shadows and the odd dock-worker. Both she could easily dismiss after a moment's scrutiny. What she was not expecting was for someone to leap out of the lake a few yards away.
The figure moved too damn quickly for her peace of mind, and far too eerily. Eilir grasps her bow and draws an arrow before Raziel can finish putting himself to rights. It may be antagonistic on her part, but she's in that kind of mood tonight.
Her eyes flick over his figure in a quick appraisal. The absence of a readable mouth is going to pose a problem, and she's can't sign with weapon in hand anyway. Since the Raziel pauses, Eilir refrains from raising the arrow to fire. {"I don't know your intent, but if it's adverse to mine, I'll fill you with holes right quick."}
