After the fight in the sewers, it's safe to say that neither Sam nor Dean are fit to socialize with - well, pretty much anyone right now. They part ways with Faith once they get inside the Conrad, and from there, Sam makes a beeline for the elevators and practically dashes into their room. Once inside, he practically jumps into their shower before Dean can protest or get in front of him. He scrubs quickly, efficiently, cleaning off sweat and grime and demon goop that somehow managed to seep through his clothes.
Unfortunately, the heat of the water (combined with the vigorous scrubbing) reopens the wound on his arm, and as he dries himself with a towel, slinging it around his waist, he looks around for something to staunch the fresh bleeding. Another, clean towel momentarily serves a purpose, and Sam holds it to his arm as he comes out of the shower, dirty clothes tucked under the other. Unfortunately, his clothes might beyond salvaging, but he'll tackle that later.
"First aid kit's in there," he says, nodding towards the bedside table. "You hop in first, though. I need to stop this bleeding before I can stitch it up."
By the time Dean gets out of the shower, Sam's already trying to stitch the wound on his bicep closed, using his mouth to pull the thread tight.
