Nagi is walking back to the place he stays from school since he doesn't feel like being near a bastion of stupidity for any amount of time. First they tell him he has every right to defend himself from people who want to hurt him, then he gets in trouble for nearly breaking some kid's nose when the damned idiot sure as hell seemed intent on invading Nagi's personal space. Sure, he's not in as much trouble as he could be, and a Saturday detention might be downright soothing compared to whatever "normal" activity his foster parents were planning to inflict on him, but the lecture on setting conflicts peacefully made him miss his bus.

Sure, he could call his foster mom and get a ride home, but that would mean being trapped in the car with her for at least ten minutes. Damn perky people. They're worse than the ones who think they can fake sympathy and get him to tell them everything. Maybe if Nagi is lucky, the person in charge of detentions will treat them like they're all horrible little maggots who can't do anything right. It would be really nice to be on familiar ground.
