Sylar's been dealing with losing most of his powers. After a very long series of experiments in his room, he's been able to narrow it down to three remaining-- telekinesis, regeneration, and electricity. And, of course, the first and original. The hunger. It never goes away, does it? The need to know. All he'd wanted was to know who his birth

She's just some random college kid, but even so, she's been a shapeshifter long enough that sometimes the animals she turns into get into her head. Right now, her personal favorite is twitching in the back of her mind. Run, run. Danger. Get out, get out.
She chooses to ignore it.

A small smile creeps across his face. It's been so long. He'll have fun with this one.
"Today just isn't your day. Is that your true form, or someone you pretend to be?"

"What are you talking about?" She says, rolling over a bit on her uninjured side so she can get a look at the man bearing down on her, her expression terrified.

They're all more or less the same in the end. It's kind of disappointing, actually. He backs away from her, lifts his index finger, starts drawing the bloody line across her forehead, and waits for her to scream.

And that's really all Keiko can think about before all of her thoughts are broken up by the pain and her own screaming.

Only... this wasn't quite like powers he'd taken at home, was it? Maybe he should have kept her alive a little longer, to figure this out. But he focused on changing into something, anything and--
Shit. A rabbit wasn't what he had in mind. And as he tried to change back, it dawned on him that something was very, very wrong.

She holds a hand out toward it, then hesitates. A shapeshifter?
Quietly she says, "I wish I could speak to you like this. Like Daine."
And then her eyes stray over the blood spreading on the pavement. The body. She freezes. "Fa... R..."

"Hush, you're all right. Are you..." She drops her voice. "You're like us, correct? Like me? You'll be safe in the Conrad, I promise."
She hustles by a pair of staring men near the doors and breathes a sigh of relief once she's inside. The basement. Ruvin jams the button for the lift, keeping just enough of a grip on Sylar to keep him from getting away. She knows what it's like to be small and gripped by animal panic, and she's not going to let him run--that would be bad!

He's starting to wonder if there's a way to kill her to get her away from him somehow.

She kisses the top of his head. "Don't worry. There's someone who can talk to us while we're People. Um. Animals. She calls them People."
Reply
Dear lord, she actually kissed him. He'd like to bite her, but bunny instinct wins over and he ends up nuzzling her instead.

She would WELCOME a distraction, which comes in the form of feeling someone like Ruvin (People but not-People) coming down the... elevation box.
So when the doors open, she's at the doorway to the lobby, looking hopeful. Please, oh please let this be something interesting. Or for her to help with.

"Thank goodness... There's a person, a dead person, their head--" She shakes her own and shudders again. "He was next to her."
Ruvin looks down at the rabbit and strokes his ears with her thumb. "I don't know what happened, but I think it scared him into this shape."
