Sylar's been dealing with losing most of his powers. After a very long series of experiments in his room, he's been able to narrow it down to three remaining-- telekinesis, regeneration, and electricity. And, of course, the first and original. The hunger. It never goes away, does it? The need to know. All he'd wanted was to know who his birth father was, but falling in the Rift had taken that chance away from him. So, he had to rearrange objectives.
It was time to rebuild.
So he's been lurking around various social circles, looking for appealing powers to take and add to his shopping list. A little bird told him this particular person was a shapeshifter. Who wouldn't want a power like that? He's been following them for a couple blocks now, waiting for the perfect dark and private area to force them into.
