The Main Gauche has a new resident. Ashley -- Ash -- Robinson is planning on recruiting her sister to help her unpack things she didn't have a week ago from a car she also didn't have a week ago.
Really, Ani's patented money-making strategy (kill people; take their stuff) might not work so well for her, but Ash is good enough at playing nursemaid for people who mysteriously take ill after meeting her.
It's amazing what people will give you if you play the Good Samaritan, really. Especially when it seems like you're getting sick, yourself. And when they die at the end... Well. It's one loose end neatly tied up.
Ash is pretty damn pleased with herself, not just for scoring a car from the last guy, but for the fact that she drove all the way to Cicero without blacking out and crashing into something. Maybe it'll convince Ani to be a little less overprotective. Maybe.
