((OOC: PARTY THREAD-ish. Tag in before, during, or after if you want, and post your own character in just chillin' there if you want for other people to comment on. At 7:43pm, JD sits at one of the tables in the B.L.U.E.S. club, eating dinner, greeting everyone that he knows with a bright grin and wave, and insisting on paying for their food. It's possible he will run out of all of his money tonight. Martha Jones is there, too (Ariel is a friend), and waiting to cover the remaining costs if needed.
Romeo is here in the back corner both before and after Ariel's gig. What? He likes Blues. Can't a vampire like Blues music without anyone thinking suspiciously of him? Rusty Hunt was told to meet a contact here, and he ended up staying for a while, because of the music and amazing chicken wings. He usually subsists on the shit he manages to make in his apartment. Tess wanders in a bit late. She had to deal with some apartment business, as in creating ice sculptures for the lawn, but no matter. She is here. She is going to have a good time and meet people outside her apartment complex-world. Really.
In the club on the small stage at approximately 8pm, Ariel Smith takes the stage with a guitarist, piano player, and back up singer. It's beautiful to be back here in front of people, again. The light shines down on her. The music flows through her heart once more. It's going to be a very good night.
At 8:47pm, Ariel has finished her gig and has detached herself from JD, who pounced on her the moment that she left the stage to tell her how OHEMGEE AMAZING SHE IS AND HE LOVES HER VOICE AND SHE SHOULD BE ON BROADWAY. He may have had a drink, or two, or three, while enjoying the performance (because he wouldn't be like this sober).
JD might be ordering another drink from the bartender. He might have issues with portion control sometimes, especially when it comes to alcohol. Martha Jones...might be doing the same. The narration wonders why her characters have so many issues with alcohol. Rusty is enjoying a smoke, leaning back against the bar. Romeo is in a corner, existing in the dark there, cause... vampire.
