In a corner of the Kashtta Tower, a robot has pried open something on the wall and hooked itself up to the building's electricity. It's also prodding at its damaged arm with a few tools liberated from Toshiko's office, and there's a roll of duct tape at its feet.

It's not going to be able to rebuild that blaster, but the least it can do is make it so there are no longer great gaping cracks in the casing.

Owen Harper is in the basement - the same room as the giant bitchy supercomputer - reading a medical journal. The Tower was making noises at him and when investigating it only lead him to a robot nesting in the wiring, he quickly decided that this was going to be one of those days in which he simply could not be expected to deal with people and identified the supercomputer room as probably the last place anyone would go looking for him.

In the suburbs, Elashte is wandering through the basement of the Main Gauche, Malek Asenath following behind him and chattering happily. Elashte is wondering what to do with some of these empty rooms and wondering if there's any way to salvage the acoustics of one to make it into a small concert stage. Malek is trying to sell him on the merits of a Starbucks and pizzeria. Either one would probably appreciate some input.

Back in the city, The Vesmier is acquainting himself with the library systems, and probably riving the librarians to distraction in that he doesn't seem to be checking anything out. He'll select a text on something, in no particular pattern, disappear to the reading room, and emerge ten minutes later to put it back precisely where he found it and browse about for another one. So far, he's learned quite a lot about the Manhattan Project, show dogs, War and Peace, Indian cinema, the collected works of Shakespeare, and the ecology of the Mariana Trench.

The !7th Doctor, in his ongoing campaign to avoid the UNIT representatives who think they have business to attend to in London or something. Really, you take them to a fascinating new city, and all they want to do is turn around and go home.

He's lingering outside the Casa del OT3, not so much because he knows it's where the other Doctor stays as because there's something very odd about the house directly across the street. In that their lawn is a snowless shade of dryish green, there's bright sunlight pouring down into the property, and all in all it looks like someone cut up a little patch of summer and plopped it right down into the middle of this bitter American Midwestern winter.

Which is... odd, you know?

The TARDIS hitched a ride over on something, and somewhere there is probably a very confused taxi driver who would like very much to know why he had to give some guy's writing desk a lift across the city. She's a Christmas tree now - the other Doctor's protestations and the fact that she's a bit late and also that Christmas trees don't usually stand in the middle of the sidewalk rustling their ornaments on a windless day notwithstanding - and is chattering back and forth with her Doctor a bit. At the moment, aside from some idle scans of the strange, intrusive summer across the street, they're trying to decide what to do when the Doctor heads back to London. He'd like to have her there of course, but at the same time it seems a shame to pull her away from all the friends she's made...

And, somewhere else entirely, in Grant Park, Onyekachi is tucked underneath a tree root, singing to himself. And he's doing it loud enough for passers-by to hear him.
