Lincoln Park is over 1200 acres, so it's no surprise, really, that two people can both be in it and have no idea the other is there.
Lily Evans, for example, is currently all bundled up and making snow-animals - so far she's done Gryffindor's lion and a larger-than-life Ravenclaw's eagle finished, and is currently working on a Hufflepuff Badger of a size that would, she suspects, make her Slytherin classmates much more respectful were they to meet it in a dark alley.
(She may be cheating with magic, a little. Sssh.)
Sirius Black, by contrast, is watching a group of ice skaters, surprised and impressed by their ability; he's seen it done before, of course, but that was at Hogwarts and they were using magic, and these people are all Muggles....there's nobody from his world here but him, and he wishes Remus and Lily were here, to explain to him how they're standing up and make fun of him for making assumptions about Muggles....
They're both pretty homesick.
