I wasn't born to walk on water, I wasn't born to sack and slaughter...

A cab pulls up in front of the Main Gauche and out of it steps a tall, stately man flanked by a nervous-looking Angel of Knowledge. As the cab drives away, the man examines the Gauche from beyond the gates, studying every angle as if piecing together what the battle might have looked like and imagining how Romana's legacy came to its close. He and Romana were not close, by any means, but he had an immense amount of respect for her for being the First Among Firsts, and to see her fall so far from grace, practically driven to madness by her own kill-instincts... Well, it's proof that maybe being led by Callings is not the best way to be.

It's a gesture of good faith that he isn't here with an entourage- not that Cyrus Butler is a First Angel who finds much need for entourages. The last First Angel came here with an army and he's not about to rankle sore nerves by dragging another, even a peaceful army, into the building. If he suspected that if Elashte's intentions were less than pure, he wouldn't be here at all. As it stands, Elashte deserves to be the one who feels as if he has the strategical advantage in the situation should things get messy, although Cyrus intends for this to be a peaceful negotiation. Peaceful negotiations occur best in locales where both parties are comfortable and Cyrus, even waltzing into a demons' den with just an assistant at his side, is very rarely uncomfortable.

He's also, in general, in a patient man, so while his assistant is hopping from one foot to the other in anticipation, he's just admiring the building with his hands clasped behind his back, seemingly oblivious to the fact that there's a gate in front of him and that he can't get inside right now- for all practical purposes, it really just looks like he stopped to admire the architecture.
