In the Kashtta Tower, the Vesmier is in a foul mood. He may even be frowning.
To be honest, he knew the chances of success for that mission were nowhere near certain, but he was not expecting such an abysmal outcome. This was one of the very many areas in which tactical situations differed from senatorial battles - the intricasies of Gallifreyan politics, he can predict.
And the situation has only become worse. And there's a limit to how bad even he can stand to see it become. The problem is, he's not got many options in how to prevent it from declining further.
CNJ has successfully recorded every detail of Gwen's office, and is now staking out the lobby. Owen Harper is watching it, because it's not as though he has anything better to do, and he thinks that someone should keep an eye on the robot just in case it decides to murder them all.
And, outside, not quite loitering, but doing her own version of a stakeout, is Karunamayee. She's hanging around on the opposite corner, looking for all the world like she's waiting for someone, meeting people's eyes as they pass by, and surreptitiously watching the Tower. She gets a... strange feeling around that place. Or maybe it's just the people in it.
