Mitsuki Takahashi is nothing if not prompt- when she says she'll be there within the hour, she'll probably wind up there within thirty minutes. It's just one of those weird businesswoman tics she's developed ( Read more... )

Mitsuki nods soberly. "I take it you're Gwen Cooper?"

She saw the other Gwen around, so it's not that hard to figure out, even if Gwen hadn't been the one who said she'd meet her here. Oddly enough, Mitsuki's wings are in even though there's nothing to hide, all things considering. If armed archangels with wings in plain view could walk the streets without being stopped then she's really got nothing to worry about. Habit, she guesses. Either way, they're itching to be let out, but she's done well to ignore it.

She has a few things she wants to say, but it would only invite questions of a similar nature from Gwen and it would turn into some debate about who was right and Mitsuki doesn't have time for that shit right now.

"There's a mortuary Vincent knows," she pressues on, pincing the bridge of her nose. "The owner's sending someone to transport the bodies. He's neutral, third-party, and isn't going to ask questions, but if that's too uncomfortable, I can find another way..."

She trails off. Truth be told, she doesn't know another way, but she doesn't want to cause any more problems for these people and invite more disdain if she can help it. There's been enough of that lately.

Gwen shakes her head, stopping a short distance from Mitsuki. "No, that's just fine. It's alright. If you'd like..." She pauses, pressing her lips together, and looks down. "PC Cooper's body as well... We can keep storing it here if not."

Looking up again, she doesn't quite meet Mitsuki's eyes, but searches her face quietly before adding, "I am sorry. For... our part of what happened here." And this is the strange world she finds herself in, where someone orders her assassination and she ends up apologizing.

Mitsuki moves her hand away from her a face and heaves a small, relieved sigh. Maybe this won't be difficult at all. "No, it's fine. We can take it." She doesn't really want to know where they're keeping the bodies as morbid as that sounds. This place probably wasn't built to contain a morgue.

"For what it's worth, I'm sorry it came to that. If it were my choice, I never would have sent those kids in here in the first place." The words are out before she can stop herself. Loud-mouthed Mitsuki who always states her opinion when it won't get her killed.

Well, now that she's started, might as well keep going.

"But it wasn't my choice. That doesn't change it, and it was a foolish mistake and we probably deserve to pay for it. Baka wa shinanakya naoranai." Only death will cure a fool.

That doesn't mean she thinks they were right to kill them all, but neither of them are right and both sides deserve apologies and the admittance of their wrongs.

Gwen nods, grimacing a little, and resists the urge to reach out and touch the woman's shoulder, try to comfort her a little. They're not exactly allies here, but Gwen can't come to think of them as enemies. "It won't happen again," she says, and just manages not to wince at making a promise she's not sure she can keep. "And I don't blame you."

"Placing blame gets all this started in the first place," she shrugs, smiling just a bit, although it doesn't meet her eyes.

When she left Vincent was taking care of things. Part of her wonders how that's going. "And it won't happen again," she adds, with less hesitation than she expected that to come out with.

She trusts that somehow Vincent will make this right. Somehow. If she has to have faith in anything, it's him.

She inclines her head a little. "Well, lead on. I won't stay too long."
