As is custom, there are many different people around, engaging in many different activities (and some of the same activities in different places). Come with me, gentle viewers, and we will see what they're up to.
Desmond Descant is in a bar as is per the custom of manly men who suffer manly heartache (the narration hears you snickering). He's technically mostly recovered from Kara's death- at least enough to function- but that's mostly through the tried and true method of pushing everything back, so he doesn't actually look like he's drowning his sorrows in beer. He just looks like a perfectly average guy enjoying a perfectly average beer and not engaging in the mental equivelent of shooting himself in the foot in the face of tragedy.
In another bar, this one actually located in the Conrad Hotel, Bianca de Luca is all dolled up and drinking a martini at the bar, occasionally batting her eyes at the young men who pass her by... Hey, she is a woman and she has urges just like anyone else... It's not her fault she seems to be attracted to the vague twentysomething crowd and occasionally other angels. Feel free to bother her for a nice chat... Or buy her a drink. She'd enjoy either.
Bars are definitely a staple of entertainment today as Vincent Sterling is in a sports bar, engaging in something that very few people actually know he engages in... Which is join in the hullabaloo of a bunch of crazy, maniacal sports fans, cheering for blood and for their favorite team. You'd be hard-pressed to miss him amongst the throng of people gathered around one of the bar's TVs. He's pretty much the loudest one there.
Meanwhile, Mitsuki Takahashi is not in a bar. She is actually at a very nice outdoor bistro, clearly visible from the street and not really caring that anyone can see her and her appreciation for fine dining, taking in the sights and sounds of Chicago at dusk (despite the sky threatening rain and the weather calling for potential thunderstorms) and enjoying a very nice dinner... Or, well, she was enjoying a very nice dinner. That was over awhile ago and now she's actually drinking wine and eating a very girly dessert that she will kick your ass if you make fun of her about, although considering she is actually very dressed up in high heels and a very nice dress, that could be difficult... Don't test her though. You might wind up with a three-inch heel to the FACE.
In the Main Gauche, far away from alchol of any sort, there are a few other people around.
Andrew Wells has met Piper Paxton and together they are going to take over the world... Actually, that's a lie. They're actually sitting in a sun room and Andrew is filming Piper as she rambles incessantly through every question he asks. It's rather adorable, although Piper's too nice to tell the nice boy to get the camera out of her face because he's making her nervous, so any attempts to rescue her will be met with glee and probably hugs.
Missy Ashford is stalking the halls in a mild (and that's putting it lightly) snit, her shoulder recently bandaged. She's been in bed on painkillers for a few days and now she's up and about and positively murderous. How dare a human fight back? How dare they distract her from what would have been a glorious kill. Yes, she's very sulky, but given that she knows the rules, she's not going to eat anyone's face.
On the grounds, there is an Ashley Remington, who was sort of distracted from his meeting with Elashte and is now making his way along the grounds, waiting for the opportune moment to speak to him and tell him the news of his inheritance... Or whatever. He's rather fond of the Main Gauche and is currently in one of the gardens, taking in all the sights with a pleased smile.
And out of the Kashtta and out into the ghost-free world, there are two Torchwood employees wandering about, despite, again, the threat of possible rain. Juliet Burke has locked herself away, only emerging when she's needed, ever since she heard the news about Daniel and is now on the pier, leaning against a railing andand staring at the water with a rather sullen look on her face.
Elsewhere on the same pier, Marshall Flinkman has gotten into a... Well, heated debate probably isn't the appropriate word for the conversation he's having, but it's a very intense discussion with a random bystander about... Well, it's really hard to say what it's about and any passer-by would probably not know what the hell they were talking about. You can bet it's probably something ridiculously geeky. In the fact, the narration is almost certain it's an argument about whether cavemen or astronauts would win in a fight.
...You can feel free to pull him away from that. It's probably not too important.
