Long way home.

In the basement there are people, outside the basement too there are... Well, things in people shape.

No matter what all of this particular group of people are walking around, most in a rather hurried way that clearly shows that they are either scared of something, want to do something but are showing some self restraint or are just too excited to do anything but bounce around like a big bird on helium…

Or on the other hand they’re just bored, extremely bored and wanting some more Ice Cream no matter the risk.

You can guess who’s who.

The two people who are actually doing things that are not normal for them are Juni Jet.

Juni is inside, looking a cross between ill and extremely irritated, she’s had another peek, it was really too small to be called a vision, of the future… Well, had meaning about a day ago… But as it turned out that peek contained what appeared to be a lot of blood and hit Juni just as she got up with all defences down.

She still hasn’t quite recovered from it yet and so can be found wandering around the corridors of the basement; currently she’s reached the lobby and is pacing around with a slightly sickly expression on her face.

She’s not going to be hugging anybody but she feels far too ill to be her usual venomous self.

Jet meanwhile is also agitated, except she doesn’t have a reason and so she herself is wondering why she feels so jumpy lately.

She isn’t wandering the halls but instead is pacing the common room, fairly slowly and deliberately but with a slight jerkiness to her turns that displays how close she is to just breaking and shooting around at the sped of light.

She’d really appreciate a distraction, one that will last until the stupid feeling that something is badly wrong has gone.

There are others though, those who are a awful lot more peaceful… Or at least less worried about senses and visions and such things.

Indeed Aria is practically skipping, and smiling and… Other incredibly happy things.

Because it’ll soon be the twenty first of June, the summer equinox… The big One-Oh-Oh for her.

She knows that nothing special happens for angels when they hit a hundred, but she’s still pretty darn pleased that she’s lasted so long… Yes, other people consider this a pretty big miracle too Aria, a lot of them are in abject shock.

And if they’re not they may be at the sight of Aria Blake walking through a park, humming and smiling a pretty huge smile… Practically skipping with sheer joy, we’ve said.

There appear to be a lot of miracles surrounding Aria lately.

And then there are two, Katie the young demon who is still pretty darn naive has decided that she’s in the mood for another ice cream… And not one of the safe ice cream shops either.

She’s chosen the one she first entered in Chicago, yep that one, the one that lounges quite close to the Conrad, the one which a angel could walk into at any second and see a sole demon who isn’t that good at fighting.

Or they could just wait outside, because Katie is wandering around, eating ice cream and looking like a bored seventeen year old girl with nothing better to do.

As long as nobody bothers to notice the slightly predatory look she’s giving the surrounding humans her identity is safe.

Hopefully.

And then there is… Liz, who has also been wandering around the basement’s halls absently for the past few hours, in a almost bored way to be perfectly honest.

She’s also in the basement lobby, and after casting a cautious glance at the still scowling Juni has decided to take a break and is now sitting on one of the chairs, resting her legs for a few moments before she decides where next she wants to wander.

Unless some company finds her first of course.
