In retrospect, there aren't really a whole lot of good painkillers that don't have some side effects, but Juliet's narrowed the choices down to something that's both strong and has a fairly good chance of not causing Sam to want to pass out on the nearest flat surface. Of course, there's also a fairly good chance that he'll be as high as a kite for most of the day, but that depends wholly on Sam and how well he reacts to medication, so it's pretty hit or miss as far as that goes.
With pills in hand, she makes her way to Sam's room and knocks on the door, and after a second calls, "Sam? It's Juliet."
And let the experiment begin.
