So if you have a minute, why don't we go talk about it somewhere only we know

Revan has abandoned her usual post in the training room and is now lounging in the Common Room, a pair of headphones stuck in her ears and her datapad in hand. She's very relaxed. Music and reading tend to do that.

She's definitely not adversed to being bothered, so feel free to tap her on the shoulder to get her attention.

Well, since Torchwood 4 is veering towards operational, Juliet has decided to make it a point to actually speak to her teammates that she hasn't spoken to before. She knows of Revan, of course, but she can't recall ever actually meeting her, and... That should change, obviously.

So Revan. Blonde Water Elemental standing behind you and tapping you on the shoulder politely. Don't mind the muffin she's got in her other hand. She skipped breakfast and food was necessary.

Revan removes her earphones, pausing the music she was listening to and turns to face Juliet, smiling a little. "Juliet Burke, right?"

Psychics are fun, aren't they, Juliet?

Juliet's not a terrorist boy with an irrational fear, thank God, so that doesn't illicit much of a reaction. Thankfully, psychics are not all that strange to her. Oh DHARMA and your parapsychology research.

"That's me," Juliet smiles. "And you're Revan, right?"

She doesn't have the benefit of being psychic. She had to ask around. Yay for the old-fashioned way!

"That would be me, yes," Revan answers. "You're one of my new teammates, aren't you?"

The Vesmier is still feeling out his way around this place. Fortunately by now, he's at least obtained proper attire; his Senatorial robes are folded in his room, and he's dressed in black corduroy trousers and what seems to be a grey, zip-collared polar fleece sweater. Despite all this, he's still not managing to blend in; part of it may be that he's still carrying himself with his hands crossed into his sleeves, part of it may be the look of vaguely amused distance on his face, part of it may be the careful pace.

He can sense the presence of most of the psychics here, and when he registers her, gives a polite ping. ( ? )

Revan was not expecting the psychic ping. She starts, glancing around, then reacts:

The Vesmier catches it, putting out a disarming sense. My apologies. I didn't mean to startle you.

Some find it awkward, but the Vesmier has never had trouble conducting entire conversations psychically. He's never had a problem with someone circumventing his shields, and it's generally a more genuine means of communication for him.

{identity=='Vesmier';Time Lord;Wanderer}. I just came in a few days ago.

Revan gives him a psychic poke, then answers, {identity=='Revan';Human;Jedi;Wanderer}. Been here for several months now. Time Lord, like the Doctor?

Revan's finding it surprisingly easy to communicate with him. Usually she'd only be able to convey images or feelings. But then, that was before she came through the Rift. And she still has no clue what the Rift did to her.

Doc's initial purpose was to go to the cafeteria to get something to eat, but spotting Revan reminds him of what they were talking about in his journal. He goes up to her, examines her datapad with interest, then gently taps her on the shoulder.

Revan glances back to see who tapped her on the shoulder, then grins as she spots Doc, removing her headphones as she does so.

"Hey!"

Doc grins back. "Hi!" He looks at her datapad again, clearly curious as to what it does. "What have you got there?"

"Just some reading from my homeworld. Stuff I had on my old datapad when I got here." Realizing he doesn't know what a datapad is, she gestures to the device. "Oh, this is a datapad. It's basically a very compact computer."
