So if you have a minute, why don't we go talk about it somewhere only we know

Revan has abandoned her usual post in the training room and is now lounging in the Common Room, a pair of headphones stuck in her ears and her datapad in hand. She's very relaxed. Music and reading tend to do that.

She's definitely not adversed to being bothered, so feel free to tap her on the shoulder to get her attention.

Well, since Torchwood 4 is veering towards operational, Juliet has decided to make it a point to actually speak to her teammates that she hasn't spoken to before. She knows of Revan, of course, but she can't recall ever actually meeting her, and... That should change, obviously.

So Revan. Blonde Water Elemental standing behind you and tapping you on the shoulder politely. Don't mind the muffin she's got in her other hand. She skipped breakfast and food was necessary.

Revan removes her earphones, pausing the music she was listening to and turns to face Juliet, smiling a little. "Juliet Burke, right?"

Psychics are fun, aren't they, Juliet?

Juliet's not a terrorist boy with an irrational fear, thank God, so that doesn't illicit much of a reaction. Thankfully, psychics are not all that strange to her. Oh DHARMA and your parapsychology research.

"That's me," Juliet smiles. "And you're Revan, right?"

She doesn't have the benefit of being psychic. She had to ask around. Yay for the old-fashioned way!

"That would be me, yes," Revan answers. "You're one of my new teammates, aren't you?"

Juliet finishes her muffin and wipes her hands on her jeans. Hey, no one ever said she was a delicate flower even if she looks it sometimes... Well, okay, she doesn't look like a delicate flower. The eyebrows destroy that. She could kill with those things.

"Apparently so, and in lieu of any recent plans for teambuilding exercises, which I'm sure are coming when Sam gets a full roster, I thought I'd introduce myself." She tilts her head to the side. "Plus it never hurts to get to know your teammates before you start working with them. I've lived through getting thrown into messes with people I don't know and it's not always fun."

Twice over, in fact. Granted, it wasn't really a team thing, but still. Juliet likes to make it a point to know the people she's working with these days, now that she has a choice in the matter.

Revan nods. "Yes, it's always a good idea to get to know the people you'll be working with, especially if you expect to be around them for a long time."

She gestures towards one of the chairs, indicating that Juliet should take a seat.

"Considering the Rift's nowhere near being fixed, after all," Juliet agrees, taking the seat. There's not a hint of regret in her voice... Considering what she has to go back to, it's no wonder.

It does bother her though on some levels that she's stuck. Who knows what could be going on back at camp? But maybe she's not needed at all. After all, Jack has Kate, and he'll be much safer with her, considering Ben...

She shakes her head and pretends it was just a gesture to change the subject and not to shake bad thoughts away. "So I'm the medic, apparently. I doubt field work will really be my specialty, but I can use a gun, so I have that going for me." A wry smile. "I'd say not many doctors are good with firearms, but you'd be surprised."

Revan smirks. "I can teach you some basic hand-to-hand, if you like. Apparently I'm the resident combat expert. And I'm currently the Trainer here anyway."

"It couldn't hurt, I guess," Juliet shrugs. "I'm hoping I won't have to get into a situation where it'll be needed, but you never know."

Personally, she'd rather just shoot things if it has to be that way, but she's well aware that shooting is not always the best method of dealing with a situation.

Revan nods, with a small smile. "It's always better to be prepared. And it's useful in situations outside of work, too."

She leans back into the sofa a bit. "I'm taking the day off today. I need the relaxation. But we can start tomorrow, if you're up for it."
