Jun-kun is very, very dedicated to his work; that he'll go all out in whatever he does. From the outside we feel like he's someone we can rely on (which he is), but then inside I feel that he's a bit swaying. Like, on an interview he said that he wants to be told what to do, instead of deciding it himself (which is a typical A behavior lol). He prefers to follow, although there are some things that he wants to decide by himself.

But it really is true, I think. If you pay attention, his personality tends to get affected by the roles he played. Well, we all know how he gets rebellious after the Gokusen. I think that cool image he tried to build overwhelmed him so he became all 'act-cool'. Then he tones down a lot after Smile. Even Ohno-san said, "lately Jun becomes more gentle."

So I think he needs to be more firm and not get influenced too easily. I'm alright with all his sexy acts because it's his job, and he prefers to do what will make the crowds happy; but at the same time I hope that he'll do something he's comfortable with instead of forcing himself. Like, just be himself? Like one time, just for the crowds reaction, he told Ohno-san, "we're only friends because we're in Arashi", then later on he felt bad about it and apologised.

But this is also shows how he cares a lot for other people. A lot of times we hear from other female actresses, young and old, that he often cares for them, "are you cold?" I think that side of Jun is really sweet and he really is very gentle inside, despite his DoS appearance. He can be really DoS at times (see: VS Arashi SP), but that DoSness just balances out his caringness to even little details.

I really admire his creativity and determination too. He always thinks seriously about everything, planning the concert stage, thinking of how he could please everyone, and the idea of moving stage still never cease to amaze me. He also has this aura to captivate people around him, also respect him at the same time. You don't normally make a fool of him.

Aside all of that, I also find him to be very innocent at times. You can say, pure in a way. Sometimes he does have the way of thinking of a celebrity, but at other times, when asked some questions, he can reply very honestly and innocently, that it surprises you.

This is just my opinion, so you may beg to differ!

What you said about Jun becoming his character, like he becomes the character to the point where it over flows into his real life, I find that fascinating. I really do. If I ever had an interest in entertainment as a career, Jun is definitly someone who would be a good senpai. I am blown away by the array of characters he has played, and how dedicated he is to each role. And it just amazes me even more that he's even more dedicated to Arashi. I'm boggled O_O And I love it! :)
I love the examples you give xD they made me lawl xD (see: "see: VS Arashi SP") :D

I think Jun would be a great person to know, don't you? :)
