It seems like I'm making these entries weekly now, but there just isn't much time to sit and write. Spring break was really relaxing and a nice break. Paul and I got back to Orlando on Wednesday night and spend a couple more days together. I didn't get as much work as I would have liked done, but oh well, it was a needed break. Then next 5 weeks leading up to finals is going to be VERY hectic. I have 4 papers due, 4 more tests before finals and a lot more chapters of material in all of my classes. So right now I'm just bracing to be quite busy and be more time efficient.
On top of the stress of school, things at home are also quite stressful. This month is going to be such a tight month money wise for my Mom and I. It's kinda scary sometimes to think about the whole money situation going on in my family. Luckily, my grandfather has offered to help us out a bit and lend some money for the air conditioner to be fixed. It just seems like my Mom just cannot get a break. She has so much she wants to do, now that my father is gone. Every time she gets close to accomplishing a goal or taking a big step forward, something comes along and falls on top of her (not literally, lol). I feel selfish sometimes when I get frustrated about babysitting, but at the same time I'm just trying so hard to keep my head above water all the time. At times I feel like I'm being pulled in to so many different directions. That's when I get worn out, cranky, and feel on the verge of tears; and I’m sure it shines through in how I act and react to my surroundings. Well, there isn’t much more I can do, I suppose. So before I get myself more stressed out, I’ll talk about my birthday on Saturday!
I’m so excited for Saturday! It was looking like not very many of my friends could come to dinner on Saturday, but a change of events has made it so I should have almost everyone there. With the exception of Chris (I wish FSU was closer), Kelli (USF is a bit closer), and Bobbi (but I’m going to see her during the day). I haven’t had a birthday celebration in years. Usually, I just do something with my family or one or two friends. So this year I’m very excited to be meeting up with so many of my friends all at once. As it stands it should be Paul, Joe, Nicolene, Jennifer, Phuc, and Jason! Paul and I thought it would be nice to go to Applebees, since its relativity inexpensive for everyone, and because that’s where we had our first date. So we are trying to combine the place with our 6th month anniversary we had at the beginning of the month. So that will be Saturday night’s adventure for my birthday. During the day, I’m taking my sisters to SeaWorld (yay, for the FunCard!) and Bobbi is going to meet us there before she has to go to work!!
Well a bit of good news for the week, Dr. Rivers, my Language Development teacher, moved our test to Monday! Moving our test made my ENTIRE day! Also, I think I kicked ass on my Speech Science test today! Talking to the people in my class after the test, I was answering all their questions correct. So that made me pretty confident that I did fairly well. So that's about it.
