The Burning House Metaphor

May 27, 2010 18:19

How do you tell someone they're driving you mad? That everything they do fuels a feeling similar to hatred? How do you tell a girl she's the most annoying person you've ever met, yet you don't regret meeting her? How can every second without her make you feel so alone, but every second with her, you end up wishing you were alone?

"She fucked me up."
"I know."
"Like, really, really fucked me up."
"So tell her that then."
"How do I say that without it sounding like I'm telling her to leave again?"
"Well... you tell her... that you love her."

There are three simple words to describe the excruciating pain one girl can put you through. You get your nemesis, you look her in the eye, and you say "I love you."
