I hope everyone (that celebrated it) had a fantastic Christmas! It was a little weird around here this year because my it was the first time that Kyndra, Kayla, and I weren't together and also the first time that we didn't spend Christmas Eve night at home. Kyndra couldn't come home for Christmas because she was here last week for my graduation - and she couldn't get off of work for both events. And then Kayla and I just decided to spend Christmas Eve night at our apartment so that we'd actually get some sleep..and we just went to Tahoka early Saturday morning.

Mom, grandma, Kayla, and I had such a fun day! We bought mom and grandma a lot of presents (and some for Peanut and Harry too!) and they were both so surprised. It's always nice to see someone's face when they open something that you took a lot of time to pick out for them. Kayla and I got a few things too. I was genuinely happy with the things that I got because I didn't ask for anything. Once we were finished opening presents, Kayla and I got out the Wii games we had taken with us and sang every single song on the Glee karaoke game and every song on the Disney: Sing It - Family game for our mom and grandma. It was way more fun than it should've been. We also played Wheel of Fortune, Donkey Kong Country Returns, and Super Mario All-Stars as a family. Then, of course, there was the food! My mom is the best cook in the entire world. We had ham, broccoli and cheese casserole, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, rolls, dressing, green bean casserole, apple cake, pecan pie, peanut brittle, fudge, firestick candy, trash, and pink stuff. Since Kyndra wasn't there, mom sent me home with a TON of leftovers..which is definitely something I can't complain about.

Last night my dad got into town, so we went over to Gail's and spent a few hours with them so that he could give us his presents and we could all just hang out. The past few times that Kayla and I have gone over there, the boys haven't been there..so it was fun to see everyone for awhile. Then my little brother's girlfriend came to pick him up so that they could go on a date and we gave him a hard time about it. They're adorable together though, and Heather is super sweet.

It's been an incredible Christmas break so far. I've been doing a lot of writing and photography - some has been shared here on LJ (I still don't understand why so many people read my public entries..), some on my Tumblr, and some in my other blog. I got to spend time with some of the most important people in my life and I got the chance to get to know some new people even better. I've stayed up until all hours of the night (often talking with the 'fantastic four') just about every single night since the break started. I GRADUATED. I've already read 3 books on my Nook Color. I've just loved having the opportunity to be completely and totally lazy. So many things will be different about my life when the local school districts start back up in January. I'm excited to see how the future plays out.

As for right now...Matt is coming over tonight, so I've been cleaning up the apartment all day (not that it was ever really dirty..but I'm OCD about my apartment being clean before people come over). This morning my little brother Oscarr had surgery to repair his ACL, so if you're the praying type..please keep him in your prayers as he comes home tomorrow and gets back on the road to recovery. And if you don't pray, kind thoughts sent his way would definitely be appreciated.

I'm sure I'll be updating again before the New Year; but enjoy what's left of the break!
