I haven't been posting a lot lately. In kid news: Lorenz does slo-mo donuts, and Nico is drawing a lot, but hates (HATES) homework, because it's busy work.

We still have no mommy/kid friends. :/ No fun. My condition helps no one.

Here's what I wrote to a trusted friend:

I actually haven't been able to uses the sling and the back carrier as much ( Read more... )

Heya! I liked your comments, so I checked you out...

Just fwiw? Whether or not you choose to see a chiropractor is totally your choice, and I'm just a random internet person ;-) but! I'd thought I'd share a little...

I was living on vicodin and darvocet because of my back problems and when I was 19 and barely walking, my exhusband dropped me off at his chiropractor and said, "Get adjusted or walk home." 10 miles!! I still say that chiropractic care was the only good thing that came out of my first marriage! lol

I did get regular care. 4x a month or so for about a year. Still better than my trips to the othropedist and pharmacy. Here I am 11 years later and in much better physical health. My "new" husband (we've been married 9 years now) started seeing my chiro and he no longer wears his shoes out unevenly and no longer has knee trouble that resulted from a motorcycle crash.

When our big kids were babies, my hubby lost his job, and my chiro treated us for free for almost a year- and when we didn't feel good about that anymore, the doc took $5 payments per visit from us. These days, unless a kid takes a spill off a bike (or a header off the bed, lol!) we only wander into the chiropractor every month or so, and my husband and I are generally back pain free and the kids have never needed antibiotics for ear infections (it's not so woowoo, the general idea is that the top vertebra, if out of alignment can block the drainage of the eustachian tubes tubes- it's scientific enough for Kaiser to pay for chiropractic care in kids for this purpose). I'm not so crunchy. I just want to be pain-free as much as possible and be healthy- and I'll latch on to western, easter, or alternative medicine to do this as long as I see results.

Oh I went to an osteo and found out I have a broken vertebrae. Lumbar spondylolysis (sp?) So no chiro til I get surgery. I've been trying the PT stuff, but the sciatic pain is so bad that my leg is either in pain or numb pretty much all the time, so I'm starting to sorry about nerve damage.

I'll add ya!
