So ummm, I don't generally write fic and I've never shared anything here but here goes nothing. :)

Katniss moved gracefully amongst the trees, hardly making a sound. The wind blew softly around her, rustling the leaves on the ground and gently stirring the loose strands of hair that hung around her face. She didn't know where she was headed, instead just letting the wind guide her through the dense forest.
She loved walking through the woods outside of District 12. It was the one place that she didn't feel trapped, didn't feel like someone always had their eye on her. The air felt different out here too. It made everything come to life.
She ended up sitting down on a moss covered log, staring out at the beauty around her. The sun was streaming through the gaps in the trees, casting beautiful, dancing shadows on the forest floor. After a few minutes she shut her eyes and took in the sounds around her.
Katniss heard the trees sway in the breeze and as the wind blew across her face she thought this is home.
