Thesis Proposal

Apr 28, 2007 01:02

I submitted my thesis proposal today...the first in several of the final steps to getting my MFA. (the initial and middle steps have been taken) :)

My thesis will be developing the curriculum for and teaching Ensemble for Non-Majors. The topic I've chosen for exploration is what we hold secret and what happens when secrets are revealed. We will work off of PostSecret as well as personal interviews.

I feel good about this and the proposal that I was able to put together is well thought out and well written. IMHO.

I had my final acting class at BU today and concluded with a performance of Fool For Love by Sam Shepard. It felt like it took great steps all week and today I felt like I found a lot of new things with my character (May).

All that's left for the semester is Ensemble (where my group is writing a musical comedy parody of Stephen King's "Cell" - who doesn't love a musical that has a song called "Burn, Zombies, Burn" in it?), a final showing for Director's Scene Study, teaching the last few sessions of my non-majors, and performing Robertson in "The American Clock" next weekend.

Phew!
