What fun to think of the Hogwarts Express a couple of days ago, when the first of the month sprang upon us.  The first of September always feels much more like a new year than the first of January does, at least to me.  And the weather has shifted away from slightly sticky to cool and crisp!  What more can you ask ( Read more... )

 It was a day to be proud of our fellow citizens, Tuesday was.  And for the most part, proud of the choices that they made at the polls.  Of course, I can only express my own opinions, not those of anyone else, but I just want to thank my fellow citizens for voting, and for electing Mister Obama to be our next president ( Read more... )

It's a beautiful summer night and I've just finished re-reading Half-Blood Prince... what a place to leave that poor kid.  Better get on to Deathly Hallows again, so that I will feel better about Harry's fate.  Only thing is, I know it will get a lot worse before it gets better.
