...and spared Sakai in his 11th hour! Thank goodness for Kris who came up with a brilliant plan to ask her home school group if anyone would be able to take Sakai/Norman/George. Within the day we had an interested family! With a few brief emails, I met his new family on base for the hand off. Sakai was a little stressed out from being jostled around on the train, but perked up once things settled down inside. While I'm sad to part with him, I'm relieved and happy that his new family is so excited to have him and am sure they'll both enjoy each other's company.
