I'm shutting about Star Trek, I swear
~ Saturday's movie outing got scrapped, so the boyfriend and I took my brother to see Star Trek today. I think that seeing the movie a second time may have cured me of my temporary obsession with the fandom. Now, if only I could stop staring at Zachay Pinto and Chris Pine pictures/graphics/videos all day...and I guess that I should stop making those "warp speed" and "Vulcan mind meld" jokes, and probably not attempt to dress up my brother as a young Asian Vulcan for next Halloween.
~I am, however, the proud owner of this glass, courtesy of Burger King. (Too bad there's not doing the figurines here, I'd love to collect those as well.) I wanted a Spock one but they were out, so I got a Kirk out instead. Hellooooo Chris Fine. Talk about a tall drink of water, lol.
~ Then we met up with winterbymorning, hollyxu and crinury, with whom we had a really nice time talking and catching up. We might or might not have also gotten some bubble tea, Chinese fried noodles and rice, coffee, Italian soda, tea, salad, crepes and chips. Ahem.
~ One of our family friend's daughter just got into Yale fuckin' med school, which is pretty much the achievement of all achievements. I suppose that the pressure is on, for the rest of us kids.
~ Also, on Sunday, one of our regular clients at the spa came in for her weekly massage, pulled a mango out of her coat pocket and gave it to me. Er...thanks? (To be fair, she did also give me cherries during the summer and chocolate during the winter.)
