~ In honour of my grandmother and sister's shared birthday, we went out for dinner tonight to our
favourite Chinatown restaurant. Joining my family were my sister's THREE best friends...and my boyfriend. I'm happy to say that he survived the evening admirably, in face of my brother's incessant chatter and thumb war requests, my grandmother gesturing in Chinese to him and basically everybody trying to feed him. (Curiously enough, it was my grandmother and mother's idea to invite him along. Hmm.) My brother really likes him and finally gets to hang out with a non-female, so Roman and I are taking him to see a movie tomorrow. I'm thinking of using that as an excuse to
see Star Trek again, hee.
~ Speaking of the family, I woke up this morning to my sister and her three best friends playing multiplayer
Nintendo DS games on their respective consoles in one room, right next to my brother and his best friend playing Mario vs Luigi on their own DS's. Clearly I am missing out on something.
~ After the dinner, the family went home while the boyfriend and I went strolling along Chinatown and Old Port. We snuggled and talked and took in the sights. (
Cirque du Soleil tents!!!) Add to that a scoop of
Ben&Jerry's Chunky Monkey (their best ice cream flavour, IMO) and you get the recipe for a puuurrfect evening date. ♥
~ Apart from that, not much is happening. Summer classes continue to suck, I cannot muster a reasonable sleep pattern and I had a dream involving the
Gossip Girl cast and some kind of flesh-eating monster (I HAVE NO IDEA EITHER) last night. Obviously something's wrong with my brain because I don't even watch the show!
~ Some good things: I might be working at a shoe store with
winterbymorning come June (yes, possibly I will spend more than I make);
PINTO (Zachary Quinto/Chris Pine) bromance is rocking my world; the weather is (mostly) sunny and breezy.
~ The not-so-good things: my computer is acting all sluggish and infected; my left eye has been feeling swollen for a few days now; and my skin is breaking out like it has never broken out before. Is there such a thing as puberty-in-your-twenties? Because I swear that my skin has been steadily worsening since I turned 20. *le sigh*
But to end on a happy note:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY
aeroport_art!
I wish you lots of inspiration, cute boys and bar-hopping for the upcoming year. It was terrific to have you in Montreal and I loved hanging out with you. *mwah*
