Ottawa
It's a capital city. Their parliament building is beautiful. We messed up the snow in front of it. I really love travelling with my two hostel-friends, they're so much fun to walk around with and talk to. I've put the pictures on my computer, but haven't managed to resize and upload them yet. I will do that at some point.

Assignments
Three more to go. Algorithms, Operating Systems, Old English. I've started the first one. Less than two weeks of classes remaining. I don't want it to end yet.

Books
There's a lot to talk about in Canadian Prose Fiction about our current book, A Sunday at the Pool in Kigali. Talking about it is making me see a lot more in it, and some of the things are rather disturbing. I bought and read One Good Knight by Mercedes Lackey last week - good fun. I read Coraline by Neil Gaiman on the bus. I do intend to say more about at least the latter two books at some time when I'm not so sleepy.

Stuff
There was something else I wanted to say, but I can't remember. Possibly about the election. But I've forgotten. Oh - and my wonderful mother sent me a box with socks (don't make that face - both pairs handknitted, one by me, one by her), a scarf, and two packets of Tim Tams, which I'm going to save for a special occasion such as finishing an assignment.

Exchange
I want to go home. I want to travel. I want to stay longer in Montreal. It's hard to reconcile these things. I really miss home, but I know I'll miss Montreal (well, some of it. Particularly the people), and it seems like it's so soon until I leave. Although, really it's only classes ending soon. I still have over a month here. I so wish it wasn't so far away from home and I could visit it often. That would be ideal. Live in Brisbane, visit Montreal. When are teleporters going to be invented, do you think?

I'm too sleepy to be posting. I get all weird. I'm going to go back to staring at my assignment, hoping I'll think of an algorithm that'll solve the problem in linear time. Goodnight, everyone.
