I've been getting some work done, amazingly enough! I'm probably at about the stage of prepared-ness that I should have been at a week ago.
I'm listing all the stuff I need to bring, from my laptop to my passports to my drop spindle.
I've also set up
something that'll pass for a website, and a
travel blog to go with it.
This means I have two blog-like thingamajigs at my disposal: my LJ and my travel journal. I intend to keep both up. Wish me luck... The idea is that LJ continues much as it has been all along - a place for random inanities and for talking to my LJ friends. The travel journal is supposed to be a more official journal of my trip. I'll try to be a bit more serious and to say interesting things about being somewhere other than home. Of course, I'm working on the assumption that I'll have regular internet access. I know I will at McGill, and at my grandparents', but in between we'll just have to hope. I am taking my computer, but that doesn't guarantee internet. And a powerpoint is also required for internet, as my laptop has a battery capacity of about ten minutes. Woot for four(or so)-year-old Dells!
The thing I haven't done at all is revise French. I'm going to take my Harry Potter à l'école des sorciers and my nice dictionary on the plane, so that'll have to do. Here's hoping that a year and a half of Latin has been able to keep enough French grammar in my head to let me make do with my dictionary's grammar section.
I should get back to my lists now. See you!
