Great! I'd love her short stories, and a discworld or two (any!) would be great! what days are you in at uni?...cuz then, i'll either come in with tim, or i can give the books to him and you can pick them up from him in the library :)
I've just remembered I have another book of her short stories, though it's not exactly short stories - the blurb calls it "four linked novellas" - Four Ways to Forgiveness. The one that's properly short stories is The Birthday of the World.
Our Discworld collection is rather large, so if you'd like one, give me a title or two...
Cool! i'll give the books to tim to bring in on Monday. he works from 12-5 at the IT helpdesk in the main (i think, its the one at the corner of the great court) Library.
the books both sounds lovely...as for pratchett, umm, eeep....some of the newer ones? its been a while since i read any, so i cant remeber which ones i have/havenot read...so any will be good!
You could have warned me about the size of the books, though! Good thing I was bringing an extra bag anyway. Tim was very relieved to get rid of those huge things and get my more moderately sized books instead :)
They look like really interesting books - I'd better get reading soon!
Yay! as for book size, I do apologise!!! most of the books i've acquired lately have been large sized, and so it just slipped my mind :/ ...and yeah, the boy was a bit miffed, but i am glad to have new books and it was a good plan :)
Good luck with your assignments and enjoy the reading!!!! and thank you, i am going slightly crazy at home sick in bed, so deperately need something new to read :D
I got mine from tim last night, so I'm still tossing up which to read first as they both look interesting, and tim sheepishly admitted "i'll give the pratchett to you in a few days, I started reading it" :P
I finished 'Four ways to forgiveness', and I enjoyed it. she has such an elegant way of writing, and i loved how they all fitted together, and how it was sad and hopefully at the same time. tim was somewhat worried by my periodic angry outbursts of "Men!" :P reading carpe jugulum now, and i dont think i've read it before, and yeah, love the name, and anything with the witches in it :)
i love inverloch too, but have only read it online, and yes, its so pretty :)
good luck with assignments!

I'm reading The Telling now. Not far into it yet, but it's interesting!

I picked the Discworld book we had that was most recent, apart from the two I haven't read yet. Plus the title always makes me laugh.
Unfortunately I haven't had much reading time since Monday. So many assignments. But I'll find somewhere to fit it in...
