Hyperactive 10-year-olds... yay.

The first of my two tests this week is over. And it wasn't as hard as I thought it'd be. We had an hour and a half, I was out of the room before 40 minutes were up. Several of those minutes I spent correcting typos in the questions.

So, now I can catch up on the internet stuff I've been not letting myself do!

But argh! At Guides tonight, I wasn't one of the group organising the night, but they needed me to help look after things. Everyone was split into groups of four, one group did cooking while the others did various first aid activities, then they rotate, etc. I got to look after one of the two first aid things. Lucky me. I don't know what was wrong, maybe it was something in the air, but everyone was hyper. Even more so than usual. And that's saying something. Everybody was giggling, someone kept sitting on people, no one was concentrating at all. One of the four girls in each group had to pretend to have been bitten by a snake, then the others have to make sure she's okay, bandage her up, make a stretcher, then carry her to safety. "Okay, who wants to be the one who's been bitten?" "Me! I'm a drama queen!" Oh, she was. "You've got a snake bite! Stop walking and lie down!" "But I need a pillow!" Another group wrapped every single one of the bandages around the victim's leg. It took four people quite a while to get them off and roll them up. They also insisted on running while carrying the person in the stretcher.

It was insane. Tom will remember Opti-Minds last year - well, there were fifteen girls at Guides tonight, apart from those up us arranging the night and ordering people around, and all but two are younger than year 8. Add bandages, ropes, big sticks, a little stick, pizza, birthday cake, and a bit of rain. And they were so hyper. I'm so tired.

I have been stockpiling up more amusing links, but...

Goodnight.
