Gadget
A few weeks ago, I vowed to resume practicing so as to enjoy singing again. That was very short lived, as most of my declarations tend to be. However, I have been practicing sporadically and was inspired to do so when my parents returned from seeing Rigoletto.*
One thing I have discovered is that Gadget has the most interesting reactions to my serenades. Whenever I sing, she yowls right along with me and starts trying to climb my legs. She'll sneak up on the piano bench and paw at my stomach (interfering with my technique). This evening, she went so far as to attempt to leap on my back. It's so bizarre. We can't decide as to whether she is pleased or distressed. I'm hoping she's pleased and just wants to join in, because I would be a little sad if she didn't like singing. It will make practicing trickier.
*I skipped Rigoletto because I'm exhausted from a socially trying weekend and not terribly fond of mid to late Romantic opera.
