(no subject)
I was walking over here - it's really a beautiful walk to Dave's house: winding about in leafy streets, and then you get to the top of this hill, and you can see Swansea bay stretched out in front of you - but the clouds looked exactly like the clouds in the opening credits to the Simpsons. Same color blue, same fake-looking lumpiness. I kept on expecting the theme music to start playing, and golden letters to appear. No dice, though. And although I did keep my fingers crossed, I'm not suddenly yellow and two-dimensional. Oh well.
But in other news, my life is really awesome. Or maybe I've just had too much coffee, seeing as my immediate future holds an evil exam, cleaning the flat shower (eep!), and being allergic to the outdoors just when the weather is being really good. But none of these could possibly outweigh the fact that I am now the proud owner of a UWS black hoodie, printed in Welsh, and with a red dragon. SO HOT!
I can't really believe I leave here in just over two weeks. That my job starts in 3 weeks. In Baltimore. That will be something of a change. I'm so not ready to leave, but I've already extended my stay, and I can't extend it again, even if I wanted to.
I've been particularly angelic today. Not only did I make flashcards, I only ate half a bottle of nutella, and most of it was spread on bread. And I volunteered to clean the shower. And taught Lulu the word 'weird'. And made some progress in converting the entire world to fans of Simon and Garfunkel. Halo and everything, no?
