we arrived!
well it's like 7pm. we've been in california for about 12 hours now.
the flight from perth to melbourne was uneventful... i slept about half of it. then we had 7 hours in melb which was horribly boring. i slept on andrew's shoulder half the time hehe. i don't think he was too impressed.
then the 15hr flight to LA was longggg. my feet swelled up really badly, and i had no ankles. it was rather uncomfortable. not fun. we sat at the back of the plane which was good because at the back the window seats have just 2 seats, not 3. so i sat on the window, he sat on the aisle. also they have extra leg room because there's a foot between the window and the seat... so i could stretch out to the side a bit. i slept at least half the way.
when we got to LA andrew dropped his customs form, which he picked up, but bout 2 seconds after the flight attendant ripped it up which meant... we were last off the plane and last in line at immigration. blahhh. ah well, i guess it didn't take TOO long, and it was only our flight that was there. we were at the qantas/american airlines terminal which is quieter than the big international terminal that i've come in before.
anyway, finally we got the shuttle to my friend gina's place. when we got there - it's about 60km from LA, just down the road practically from disneyland - andrew went to bed. he was so exhausted, but i'd slept a lot more than him.
so me and gina went food shopping to costco. that was an experience! for those who don't know it's like a bulk buying shop... and you have to be a member to shop there. but you can get stuff in huge huge quantities. so yeah... interesting.
after that we came back and i decided to have a snooze and woke up like 5 hours later haha. but then it was dinner time and i was hungry since i hadn't eaten since breakfast.
now it's about 7pm and we're just sitting around...
