Today was one of those days when I'm glad I own a steam cleaner... and wish I didn't need it. Spilled an entire batch of wienie beanies all over the back of the minivan on the way to the church potluck this evening. ... sigh... At least it's all cleaned up now, and parts are even cleaner than they were before they got spilled on.

I attended the Women of Faith conference in Sacramento with my mom last weekend. It was odd -- as an Episcopalian, I had concerns that it might be a little too evangelical for my tastes, but I went with my mom because I really wanted to spend a weekend away with her, and figured we could joke about it together ( Read more... )

Rummage sale is over! My mother is a saint!!!! Not only did she come babysit my kids Friday-Saturday, she took them to the Ark at church and took over for the paid babysitter at 3:30. Meaning, if that person got run over by a truck today, there was so much knowledge in that one person's head that the project was doomed to failure without them.
