Michael did know something was wrong. He could feel that he didn't feel right. Before he joined Division he never once even considered drugs. After Division.... he came in contact with them.

He wasn't sure how he got drugs into his system in the first place but somehow that wasn't important. He needed to see if she was at the boat. It was a completely crazy notion that she would magically be back but he had to look.

He barely even glanced at Jo when he got aboard. He immediately started searching the boat. She had to be here. Had to. He needed to talk to her. "Is she back? Have you seen her?" his words coming much faster than they should be.

When the guy, the Michael, moved past her quickly, she watched him go before moving up to standing and turning around as he moved with a bit of speed. It was almost a dance of him moving from spot to spot trying to find something.

It was a little like déjà vu.

"She's..." Jo let her words slide for a moment before she exhaled and continued her sentence, "... not here. I'm here. With the boat. Her things. Just... not her."

His eyes were a bit wide, like he was trying to be hyper alert. Wired, even. He just really needed to talk to Nikita. She needed to know he knew.

"Dammit," he muttered almost bouncing in place. "I knew, I knew she wouldn't be here but I needed to check. I need to talk to her." He crossed and uncrossed his arms like he wasn't sure what to do with them. "Why did I come here if I knew she wouldn't be here?" he asked out loud, sounding genuinely mystified.

Jo frowned that he was upset. He shouldn't be upset. She wasn't even sure why he shouldn't be upset, but considering how good she was feeling, upset really didn't feel like the right emotion.

"Because the boat... was here?" The reply she gives him actually makes a tiny bit of sense to her, but she's not sure why. "Otherwise you would've just gone to the water."

She wasn't exactly certain why she ended up at the boat again. Maybe it was out of some hope -- however futile -- that Nikita would magically reappear again, that her disappearance had been only temporary. And maybe it was because she knew Jo was there, Jo whom she felt some indefinable connection with already. The girl hadn't run away when Alex's emotions got heated, she stuck around, she was patient.

Maybe it was all of those things, or none of those things.

She'd been out in the rain too long, and she felt...good, but it wasn't a comfortable feeling. She wasn't supposed to feel like this anymore; she recognized it, and it scared her. But that fear was too dormant now to override her euphoric feelings.

And there she was, on the deck of the boat. She was surprised to see Michael here; there were a lot of feelings suddenly rushing through her at the sight of him.

Even though Jo was still trying to sort out what Michael was looking for, she once more had that feeling like she'd forgotten something. It was on the tip of her tongue, which was feeling sort of odd in her mouth. Maybe it was feeling the roof of her mouth far too often, making the roof of her mouth feel odd. Either way, out of the corner of her eye she saw movement.

Turning around, she felt her hair catch into the corner of her mouth, but then she smiled when she saw Alex. There was a warm smile that slid onto her features, "Hey... it's you."

What was left of his guard crashed down when he saw Alex. For the moment Jo was completely forgotten about. "Alex..." his voice sounding... more human than usual. For some reason his guard did not go back up like it should. That creeping nice feeling was coming back in. Like things weren't nearly as bad as he thought they were. Everything was fine.

His movement was automatic to walk over to Alex and put a hand on her shoulder. He had to make sure she was real and she wasn't going anywhere. "She isn't here," he said, failing to sound as disappointed as he knew he should be feeling.

Michael's hand on her shoulder felt good, better than it should. It was just a simple touch, he'd touched her that way before, but never when she was feeling like this. Those latent feelings for him she'd tried to push aside were louder now than they'd ever been, and all she wanted was to be close to him.

And Jo-- she was like a rainbow after the storm, a good thing that she wanted to be near.

Her head turned just slightly, to meet Michael's eyes. "I know," she said, likewise sounding not nearly as upset about it was she really was. "But we are."

Jo could feel the rain starting to collect in her hair. Even the fine mist, after the length of time Jo had been outside, was weighing it down. She could feel the smallest damp spots starting to grow on her tank top. The end of a lock of hair marking itself to fabric.

It was okay though. She wasn't going to melt. If she did, Michael and Alex would be there to witness it. Proof she wasn't crazy or insane when she relayed the story again. Jo hadn't even realized that her eyes were focused to where Michael's hand had settled onto Alex's shoulder. It was a strong touch. Comforting.

They both knew Nikita and now they both had come here. Jo wanted to know more about Nikita, more about these people in her life, but how exactly could she ask if she couldn't remember her words?

"You could stay. Should...stay," Jo offered. As if it was her own boat to give space to let. She smiled though, just glad to have people around.

It was wrong that Nikita wasn't here but everything also felt so right. Like he shouldn't be worried at all, everything would work out. Everything would be fine.

"Yeah," he said with a strangely emotional voice, "We are." His arm moved to wrap around Alex in a somewhat protective yet guiding fashion. His attention then turned to Jo. He didn't know her that well but he knew of her. She didn't seem like a bad person... certainly not right now.

"We... should," Michael said finally then glanced at Alex. They should stay here. For now. Until... later. Yeah.

Somehow, his touch seemed to infuse her with this sense of calm and peace, and she had no urge to pull away from it. In fact, she wanted more of it, and so she leaned into him, almost nuzzling his neck with her cheek.

"Just stay here," she murmured, in agreement with both of them.

The rain was putting a glisten to all of their skin. Dampening it, making it seem like it'd let her fingertips slip across it with little effort if she reached out and brushed her touch to it. A soft smirk flickered in the corner of her mouth before she smiled a bit wider.

"You're going to stay, but it's still raining. We should get a blanket." Her fingers reached out and brushed to Michael's arm, creating a streak against the light layer of mist over his skin. She could write a word to read if she wanted to.

For some reason, going inside out of the rain wasn't an option. The rain felt nice, why would you want to get out of it. On top of that it was a pleasant semi-warm rain.

His arm around Alex tightened and he soon drew her into both arms. Touching felt... incredibly nice. "Yeah," he said as he glanced down where Jo's fingers had brushed. "Our clothes are wet," he said in his most obvious observation ever.

They were all drenched, and any other time, it would have made sense to go inside. However, the mere thought of that now made absolutely no sense. Why go inside and ruin this feeling?

She turned her body so she was almost completely wrapped around Michael, clinging to the safety and warmth he offered.

"This feels good," she admitted out loud.

There was something about seeing Alex cling to Michael, something that made her miss just being protected, being cared about. She could see it there, that higher level of concern of caring. She wanted that.

Her hand moved from tracing against Michael's arm to meet over toward where Alex's arm was now. The strength was still there in her arm, not as much as Michael's, but still... it was there. Beneath the surface. Jo moved in toward the two of them, resting her head to Michael's arm, letting her hand return to her own side then to rest to Michael's back. His shirt was wet, heavy almost. Jo's touch moved to tug at it, to pull the soaked material into her hand by the fistful. Until she could slip her touch to his skin once more, feeling that strength.

"You're warm," she stated to Michael, just letting her palm press to his back. "It does feel good," she agreed, finally, even if she did feel like she was feeding off of whatever they had.

Michael's mind was working very simply at the moment. If their clothes were wet... "We should take them off," he said without letting on what he was talking about.

Despite how Michael usually acted, he did like human contact. He moved on of his arms and reached out to loop Jo around her waist and pull her in. Everyone should have contact right now. If it was warmer together they should be together! By god it was brilliant.
