Is it just me, or does it seem like Doctor Who fandom is just not very active now? I know part of it is just that we're in the between-seasons slump, but it also seems like there's less involvement, and less anticipation or demand for it to hurry up and come back.
Is that just me, or is it maybe a response to last season? (I didn't really enjoy last season, everything seemed too depressing and hard, the Doctor felt weary and cynical, the Companion didn't seem that excited about the opportunity to travel in time and space, seeming to act as if her new boyfriend more fascinating, and then it all ends in a really depressing finale that, while I loved Missy, just felt like nobody learned anything or that anything really mattered.)
Which is all sad, because I love Capaldi, but I'm not finding I'm as wired up and excited about his Doctor coming back as I was about others.
What does everyone else think? Is it just the slump, or reaction to the new Doctor, or last season, or has Doctor Who finally got "old" now in it's new series after 10 years and people just aren't as excited by it any more?
Whatever it is, it's really depressing.
